Eos: the New Age
A ferryman in Zolrek's Underbelly whose eyes and ears are a bit keener than his mind
Cowardly, unhygienic, and not particularly bright, the wererat called “Skeever” at first glance appears to be just another lowlife inhabiting the Underbelly of Zolrek. Looks can be deceiving, however, as this particular lowlife happens to know the ins and outs of the cisterns and canals of the city better than any other inhabitant. He serves as a ferryman for hire for those desiring secrecy and speed, navigating his customers through the sewers and waterways out of sight of the city guard or nearly anyone else for that matter. Despite his general lack of insight, Skeever is very perceptive, constantly taking note of his surroundings and the people that move past him each day. Skeever stands just above five feet in height, though is usually in a hunched position to better keep out of sight. He keeps his head shaved low to prevent lice, though his hair tends to grow fast due to his lycanthropy. Skeever dresses in whatever he happens to find, which is generally an assortment of rags roughly stitched together and thrown over him to form a makeshift robe of sorts. While his true nature isn’t really a secret in the Underbelly, he attempts to prevent widespread knowledge of his lycanthropy, and as such only rarely takes any sort of rat form.
